The Cathedra Petri, also known as the "Throne of St. Peter," is the main artistic feature located in the apse of St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. Created by the artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini and completed in 1666, this bronze structure surrounds the original wooden and ivory Chair of St. Peter. The throne dominates the front section of the basilica and is centered beneath a stained glass window with a warm amber tone.
