St. Gerard Majella

St. Gerard Majella (1726-1755) is the patron saint of children, unborn children, women in childbirth, mothers and expectant mothers.

A few months before his death, he visited the Pirofalo family and accidentally dropped his handkerchief. One of the Pirofalo girls spotted the handkerchief moments after he had left the house, and she ran after Gerard to return it. "Keep it," he said to her. "You may need it some day." Years later when the girl, now a married woman, was on the verge of dying in childbirth, she remembered the words of the saintly lay brother. She asked for the handkerchief to be brought to her. Almost immediately, the pain disappeared and she gave birth to a healthy child.

Sterling Silver 925 medal, Joseph was "a just man". This praise bestowed by the Holy Ghost, and the privilege of having been chosen by God to be the foster-father of Jesus and the spouse of the Virgin Mother, are the foundations of the honour paid to St. Joseph by the Church.
Pope Pius IX proclaimed Saint Joseph the patron of the Universal Church in 1870, and of a happy death. Having died in the "arms of Jesus and Mary" according to Catholic tradition, he is considered the model of the pious believer who receives grace at the moment of death.

St. Mark Evangelist sterling silver 925 medal

The Gospel of Mark, in describing the arrest of Jesus, speaks of a young man who followed the arresting party, wearing only a linen cloth wrapped around his body, whom the arresting party tried to seize, but who left the cloth in their hands and fled naked. Many says that this young man was the writer himself, since the detail is hardly worth mentioning if he were not.
